"Rob's Room" 1996
This piece, animated by Robert Shrider (WarnerDigital), was created by timing an actual
wind up toy with a stopwatch, and then recreating the walk events. Thismethod resulted in
a very authentic movement quality. This piece is also unusual in that itused 3D Studio R4's
raytracing renderer which is incredibly slow. On multiple stations, it tookfour days to render
10 seconds of final animation. However slow, the quality of the end resultis impressive.
