The PAX 100 series compactors require no special preparation for installation.  Simply uncrate and plug it into a dedicated 110 volt, 15 ampere, 60 cycle electrical circuit.  You are ready to start saving by compacting waste into approved 55 or 30 gallon steel or fiber shipping drums.  The cart for the PAX-130 compactor carries 30 gallon drums. The cart for the PAX 155 carries 55 gallon drums.   The PAX 185 compactor comes with two carts, one for each size drum.

ERROR MSGEach compactor takes 3x2 feet of floor space and is mounted on casters to be moved at will. Carts are 32 inches by 31 1/4 inches wide.  Mounted on casters, carts pass through standard doorways and may be moved, if desired, to several waste collection points.  Multiple carts can be used at multiple generation points.

When a drum on a cart is moved onto the compactor, key operated controls can start a 30-second compaction cycle.  A totally enclosed hydraulic ram with 14,000 pounds thrust reduces the volume of the drum contents. For example, most laboratory wastes are reduced to one fifth their volume.  That means five times as much waste can be packed into a standard waste removal drum.  When the contents have reached their unloading weight, seal the drum and start your waste removal savings.
