| | POINTE Ballet students who, at the discretion of their teacher, are technically and physically ready for pointe work will be asked to join the Pointe Program. Students need at least three years of ballet, be approximately 12 years in age and take at least two ballet classes per week while participating in the program.
MODERN Using a broad range of music,modern encompasses free movement with the aid of ballet technique and fundamentals.
JAZZ Beginning-Level 7 - Jazz meets once weekly and progresses to higher levels of expertise in Jazz fundamentals and different styles (Broadway, funky, hip-hop, etc.). A second class of Ballet or Modern is required for those students wishing to advanced to the higher levels 3-7 for technique and quality purposes. Study in higher levels is more long term and advancement from year to year is decided on an individual basis.
TAP Beginning-Level 6 - Tap meets once weekly introducing rhythm, and timing to tappers, progressing through the levels advancing the students in technique, style and rhythm. A Second class of Ballet or Modern is required for levels 4-Advanced.
ADULT/TEEN BEGINNER Beginning classes in Ballet, Jazz, and Tap are taught throughout the year. | |
