tina, our resident feng shui expert, instructs us on the importance of illumination. she says that each aspect of our lives, such as love, wealth, fame or career, is represented by a different color and is believed to reside in different areas of our house. if you feel that your life is lacking in something (love, for example), burning a candle of corresponding color (yellow) in that area of your house (southwest) ignites the chi of that life aspect and brings your life into balance. but does it really work? tina wouldn't know, she's afraid of having open flames in the house.
