Ruinas Lencas
You'll find ruins of the civilization that lived more than three thousand years ago. The Lencas, culture that preceded the Mayans. Some archaeologists think that great part of the Copan Ruins was possible thanks to the manual labor of the Lencas that lived peacefully and were absorbed by the Mayans of Copán
Approximately 20 kilometers to the south of the lago de Yojoa in the highway that takes you to Tegucigalpa, are the cuevas de Taulabé. Its limestone formation due to it's dissolution has formed a spectacular cave system. The caverns have been explored until the depth of 12 kilometers and until today they haven't found the end of them.
