if you've ever encountered these intensely perfumed flowers, you don't forget the experience. it's the blossom's scent that turns heads, but it's the purity and delicateness of the white petals that capture your heart. in hawai`i, tuberose blossoms have been the inspiration of a few romantic melodies. in vietnam, tuberose is associated with the month of may.

For those of us not in the tropics, tuberose grows in the warmer months, but blooms a bit later at summer's end. in your yard or in a pot, just add water and lots of sunshine.
