"Station To Station" 1998
For this piece, the client requested something"completely different." We mixed scanned flats of the
furniture together in Photoshop, and we created/enhanced the cast shadows.Each style of furniture was
assigned a complementary musical piece and word/text style describing it.Each of these "modules" was
framed up by archival and stock video footage containing subliminal messages.The final effect was as
if someone were channel surfing on a "video radio". Real timecompositing was done on our Scitex
non-linear editing system. The modular nature of the piece allows the clientto easily change out
images in a cost-effective way.
