"Palmetto General" 1997

In this shot, a psychopathic termite destroys a homeand proves
that you really can enjoy your work. The chainsaw chain rotation
proved a challenging adversary to our animators- The problem
was solved by animating every other tooth on the chain using a visibility
controller to create the illusion of a spinning chain along a path. Robert
Shrider (formerly of Warner Digital) created and animated this character.

Here a "Ant Scout" reports to the "PalmettoGeneral" of the pest's impending
doom. The only problem experienced in the development of this spot was that
ERROR MSGmany viewers liked the Palmetto General too much and felt sorry for himin
his failed military career.
